Lone Star Challenge:

The Lone Star Challenge is a scholastic competition sponsored by the Texas Academic Decathlon and students from across the state are invited to participate! Our team will be comprised of nine 4th and 5th grade students; our study group may include up to 10 students. Ultimately, the team of nine will be chosen based on participation in the team practices and preparation for the competition.

This year’s theme is “Imagine…” We will explore areas created by the human imagination and read the novel Hook’s Revenge by Heidi Schulz. The competition includes a written essay - plus science, math, social studies, and reading. There will also be a Super Quiz.
