NEW ANNOUNCEMENTS
A Message from Assistant Principal Bentley

Dear Lakewood families,

On Monday of this week, I announced to the Lakewood teachers and staff that at the conclusion of the 2023-2024 school year, I will be leaving Lakewood Elementary to become the principal at Kramer Elementary School in the Hillcrest feeder pattern of Dallas ISD.

I have truly enjoyed my time here at Lakewood since August of 2019! I have learned so much here and will miss the warm and supportive community and the amazing Stallions!

As I told the Lakewood team and intend to tell any student who is interested in listening (haha), it was a challenging decision, but I felt it was time to push myself professionally and practice my values of taking risks and stepping out of my comfort zone! This process has certainly done that for me!

I am so grateful for my time at Lakewood and will miss everyone! I thank you for your support and making this experience such a positive one for me!

Sincerely,

LeAnna Bentley

Stallions may wear uniforms or dress their best on their award day!

Summer is almost here and with all the fun we also want to play it safe! Print out this handy visual, review it with your child and hang on the fridge to remind them of these helpful tips to stay safe during the summer and all year long!

The PTA Teacher Workroom committee would like to say THANK YOU to everyone who donated throughout the school year to this new initiative to monthly grade level "stock the workroom" for our teachers and staff. They were blown away each month by all the drinks and snacks that were provided. Your generosity is very much appreciated.

Your PTA teacher workroom committee,

Samantha Goode, Ashley Ripp and Desiree Shackelford

Calling all kinders! Join us the day after Meet the Teacher on the playground. Meet classmates, buy spirit wear, and chat with the new family PTA committee to have all of your questions answered.  No RSVP needed!
